FAQs
Q: I learnt to dive somewhere tropical but would like to dive in the Isle of Man. What should I do?
A: Get in touch to sort out doing a drysuit course. The water is too cold here for wetsuit diving. You can try, but your dives will be short and cold. Drysuit diving keeps you warm and allows you to explore for longer and more safely.
Q: It's been a few years since I last dived, do I have to start all over again?
A: Not at all. We offer refresher training to brush up your theory knowledge and regain your practical skills. Sessions are tailored to each individual so you'll be up to speed again in no time.
Q; Do I need all my own kit?
A: You'll need to buy a few basic bits of kit (mask, snorkel, hood and gloves) but we can hire the rest including drysuits, undersuits, BCDs, cylinders, fins, regulators and weight belts. As you get more diving experience, you'll want your own kit.
Q; Someone has given me some dive kit. Is it OK to use my own kit?
A: As long as any kit you are using has been serviced then you can use it. We will not allow the use of non-serviced regulators on our dives. If you would like a free, no-obligation assessment of any kit please pop down to the dive centre. We can tell you what is worth servicing and what isn't safe to use.
