Guided Snorkel Safaris
Snorkel Safaris are a great way to get into exploring the marine life around the Isle of Man. The clear waters have an amazing variety of creatures waiting for your visit. Swim through seaweed gardens, spot Wrasse out hunting and look under the rocks for crabs and lobsters. We provide some spotter guides to help you identify what you've seen. Sessions are usually run from the shore, but after you have a bit of experience you can travel further out on one of our boat trips, and maybe visit the Sugarloaf caves or play with the seals.
Come down to the dive centre and the team will help find a wetsuit and all the rest of the kit you need to stay comfortable in the water. You will get a safety briefing and some basic tuition, before we head down to the beach for a nice easy entry into the sea. We will spend up to an hour exploring the coastline, marine creatures and maybe looking for some bits of ship wreck too. Then it's back to the dive centre for a hot drink and to get changed into warm, dry clothes.
Cost for shore snorkel (including kit hire) £35. Boat snorkel sessions (including kit hire) £50.

Snorkel Safari Trail Guides
Discover Diving has developed a series of 7 graded snorkel trail guides for various locations around the South of the Isle of Man. These guides can be printed from the documents below, either as a whole set or individually. If you want to explore some new snorkelling sites, these guides will help you get the best experience. The grades are Difficult (RED), Moderate (BLUE) or Easy (GREEN). These gradings relate to how easy it is to access the site and to complete the trail. Longer trails such as Gansey are rated difficult because of the distance involved. For some trails such as Scarlett or Port Grenaugh you can easily opt to shorten the trail if you want.
